AutoTrack™ Software release for HALO® 20+/24 Radar

Navico Group is excited to announce AutoTrack™ software for HALO® 20+ and HALO 24 dome radars. Released earlier this year to HALO 2000 and HALO 3000 radars, AutoTrack is now available for HALO 20+ and HALO 24 dome radars across Lowrance Simrad® and B&G Multi-Function Displays!

AutoTrack automatically detects, tracks, and prioritizes radar targets so you don’t have to. No setup. No hassle. Just intelligent tracking that works in the background to identify potential hazards and keep you informed no matter what screen or app you’re on.

This is more than just a new feature. It’s a massive leap in situational awareness, giving boaters superior information with less hassle. AutoTrack seamlessly overlays vessels and potential hazards directly within the radar app, providing intuitive visual references and showing their trajectories for effortless situational awareness.

Even when the radar screen isn’t in use, AutoTrack remains active, delivering a dynamic widget that displays only the most critical, intelligently prioritized alerts, helping captains make confident decisions without unnecessary distractions.

Autonomous Monitoring

Integration and Requirements
AutoTrack™ is enabled by default with the HALO 20+ and HALO 24 v7.2.0.23 software update and can easily be turned on or off in radar settings. It works seamlessly with compatible Lowrance, Simrad and B&G multifunction displays. Please see compatibility below.

This feature is not a substitute for proper training, qualification, licenses (where required) and prudent seamanship and is designed to be used in conjunction with conventional navigational practices.

HALO Radar Compatibility
AutoTrack™ is supported on HALO® 2000 and 3000 open array radars with Simrad MFD’s. This exciting new feature is now supported on HALO® 20+ and 24 dome radars across Simrad®, Lowrance®, and B&G® systems.

Please Note

• AutoTrack™ is not supported on HALO® 20.
• This software update can be applied to HALO 20, however there will be no user benefit.
• Halo 2000 and 3000 open array radars are only compatible with Simrad MFD’s
   

Radar Software Upgrade Procedure
Lowrance Elite FS®/HDS®, Simrad NSO®/NSS® Evo3S or B&G® ZEUS® 3S and Glass Helm

1. Download the file RadarApp-BRHDG2-7.2.0.23.riw from the downloads page of Lowrance, Simrad or B&G web sites. Save the file to a blank micro SD card.
2. Insert the card into the micro SD slot on a compatible MFD and ensure that power is supplied to the radar.
3. From the home page on the MFD, select “Storage”. Choose the micro-SD card and select the file. Select Upgrade.
4. The REMOTE UPGRADE page should come up. If there are multiple radars on the network, please select the radar with Version 7.1.0.279, then select “Start Upgrade”.
5. The upgrade should start and automatically install. Once the upgrade is complete you will see the message on screen “Upgrade Complete”. 
6. Select OK and exit back to the main screen. The upgrade is complete. You can check the version under Settings > Radar > Installation > Radar Status > Scanner Info and check that it shows as version 7.2.0.22.
7. This completes the process.

Radar Software Upgrade Procedure
Simrad NSX®, NSS® 4, B&G Zeus S, Zeus SR

1. Connect the MFD to the internet by selecting a valid WiFi network under settings > Connectivity > Wifi.
2. Select software updates from settings > General > Software Updates.
3. Here you should see the HALO 20+ or HALO 24 v7.2.0.23 update listed. Tap on Update now.
4. The update box will come on screen. Select Update.
5. The device will show the update progress. When complete a message will be displayed ‘Device update successful. Select ‘Finish’.
6. This completes the process.
