Simrad Yachting Introduces AutoTrack Feature for Simrad® HALO® 2000 & HALO® 3000 Radars

Simrad® Yachting has just introduced AutoTrack™ for the HALO® 2000 and HALO® 3000 Radars—bringing automated tracking to the world’s most intuitive and easy-to-use radar system yet.

AutoTrack™ automatically detects, tracks, and prioritizes radar targets so you don’t have to. No setup. No hassle. Just

intelligent tracking that works in the background to identify potential hazards and keep you informed—no matter what screen or app you’re on.

This is more than just a new feature. It’s a massive leap in situational awareness, giving boaters superior information with less hassle. AutoTrack™ seamlessly overlays vessels and potential hazards directly within the radar app, providing intuitive visual references and showing their trajectories for effortless situational awareness. Even when the radar screen isn’t in use, AutoTrack remains active—delivering a dynamic widget that displays only the most critical, intelligently prioritized alerts, helping captains make confident decisions without unnecessary distractions.

Autonomous Monitoring: AutoTrack™ constantly monitors every radar sweep in the background, allowing boaters to focus their attention elsewhere. But it does more than just watch. It adds a new layer of radar intelligence—always adapting to the environment and alerting boaters to dangers as they arise in real time.

True Ease of Use: With AutoTrack™, there are no settings to dial in. Radar tracking is all taken care of from the moment you power on. This is world-class radar performance, without the learning curve.

Unrivalled Situational Awareness: AutoTrack™ ensures you’re never caught off guard. It can track targets up to 24 nautical miles away and monitor up to 50 objects simultaneously—highlighting those that pose the biggest risk. Most important of all, AutoTrack alerts you the moment a high-risk object is detected.

Integration and Requirements: AutoTrack™ is enabled by default with the HALO 2000/3000 V8.2.0.32 software update and can easily be turned on or off in radar settings. It works seamlessly with Simrad multifunction displays, including NSS® and NSO® evo3 / evo3S (with software version 25.1), and the NSX®, NSX® ULTRAWIDE, and NSS® 4 displays (with version 2.1 or later).

Coming soon to Simrad®, Lowrance®, and B&G® HALO dome radar systems.
